Application settings

The window of adjusting enables modification of multiple parameters of the application. The user may modify the following parameters of the application in here, such as:

In case of application of off-line networks (public servers of maps), it is necessary to configure access to local server (description of the installation is found in Technical-Operational Documentation I-207-676).

In case of local servers the address slightly differs from the public one, i.e. does not include "{0}" in the beginning of the domain. In example it may be of the following type:

"http://192.168.1.99:88/{1}/{2}/{3}.png" provided it was installed on the computer of 192.168.1.99 address and site of the map was set at port 88.

Configure settings of sounds regarding urgent, non-urgent and information alarms. Herein it is possible to modify operation mode and location to the sound files. In case of occurrence of alarm whose operation mode was set as continuous one it is possible to mute it by means of an icon situated in top left corner of WinCN2’s main window.

Archiving parameters (depending on construction of the system, their modification may quicken archiving)

- Switch on / off automatic archiving and configure, when it should be started. Range of archiving allows to set at what hours it will be started (data archiving burdens the server significantly and may impede fluency of the system’s operation). Archiving type determines what conditions initiate the archiving process (size or operation time of the database). Sizes of start and stop determine at what size of the base the archiving process should be started and what will be the size of the databases when archiving process is terminated.

Moreover the user has a possibility to modify the following parameters, provided the service of e-mail notifications was installed at the particular computer. It is performed in the ‘Notifications Module’ sheet:

- Address of SMTP server

- Address of SMTP user

- Password to the account

- Start SSL coding

- Set port of SMTP server

and switch on the option of SNMP Notification, where it is possible to determine:

- Polling port

- Community to be polled

- Time period of reporting the Keep Alive package

- Port to accept traps

- Addresses of recipients of the traps

Modifications are accepted as soon as the application is restarted.
